We believe that we make the greatest societal impact when we use our skills and expertise to help others.
At Deloitte, we believe that we are responsible for making the world a better place. For years we have been committed to making an impact that matters. A lot of what we do at Deloitte involves thinking about the future and at the Foundation we sought to find how to use our competencies to deliver socially significant projects and really change the world around us.
We want to use our knowledge, experience and resources to deliver socially significant projects. The Deloitte Foundation is where we support the ideas brought forward by the Deloitte staff and work with NGOs to achieve our shared goals in education and climate and our charitable aims.
- Agnieszka Mitoraj, Deloitte Poland Foundation, President of the Board
Education, Climate and Charity are the three pillars that underpin what we do at the Foundation. The projects and initiatives that we champion fit at least one of the categories, but all reflect our concern for the future. We want to have a real and measurable impact so for the past few years we have worked out a way where every project that we deliver is part of meaningful and measurable change for the better.
Every year, at the Foundation we carry out approx. 30 projects that help the business and NGOs work closer together. The projects bring satisfaction to the Deloitte staff, but most of all – help the beneficiaries of the projects. We want to be more than just sponsors so we seek to contribute also professionally. The trust, partnership and a shared social goal are just as important to us as the delivery of the Foundation’s aims and objectives. We pursue our goals by collaborating with strategic partners, but we also intend to develop our own programmes delivered with the help of our employees. Our key projects:
Since the launch of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, helping Ukraine has become yet another field of our activities. In the first year, we delivered humanitarian aid to the regions most severely affected by the war. We supported refugees in Poland, helped improve crisis management and delivered most needed aid. We supported organisations that offered psychological assistance to the children traumatised by war. The funds donated by Deloitte firms from across the world helped secure necessary medical aid to the paramedics on the front lines, buy an ambulance for a hospital in Dnipro and a truckload of medical products. Later we focused on long-term projects to support integration, Polish language learning and offer psychological assistance to the children in Ukraine. We continue to monitor the situation and respond to the needs that may arise.
The Deloitte Foundation was established on 10 June 2021. The first Chairman of the Foundation’s Council was Tomasz Konik, and its President – Adam Mariuk. Since June 2024, at the head of the Foundation’s Council has been Joanna Świerzyńska. The President is Agnieszka Mitoraj.
