Abundant natural resources and centrally located

Rotorua is renowned for its rich history, culture, and its central location in the Bay of Plenty, surrounded by beautiful lakes and close to the tranquil Redwood Forest. Our Deloitte Rotorua office supports clients and communities across the region. Home to our Māori Services Lead, our team brings broad knowledge of Māori organisations which enables the establishment and support of Post Settlement Governance Entities and Ahu Whenua Clients.

Our open plan office is a warm and friendly working environment where you’ll feel supported from day one. Our team takes pride in embracing diversity by honouring a wide range of cultural holidays and celebrations, and creating a sense of belonging with shared morning teas, team sports, lunches, and office drinks at the end of every month.

With a whānau orientated community and a central location an hour away from some of New Zealand's best beaches, Rotorua is an amazing place to start your career.

What you can do

Our Tax & Business Advisory teams work with fast-growing businesses, established enterprises, and families, to bring together the right people and expertise to solve their most burning issues. We support clients to focus on the running of their businesses, providing pragmatic, commercial, and solution-driven advice in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns, tax planning, technical accounting advice, management accounting, and virtual CFO. Working in our Tax team, you’ll gain exposure to corporate tax, international tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and tax planning. You’ll also work closely with clients to help them understand their tax obligations, identify tax-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance.

In Business Advisory, you’ll learn from leaders and support the provision of strategic advice and solutions to help clients address their unique financial business challenges. This could involve conducting financial analysis, developing business plans, performing due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, evaluating risk management strategies, and assisting with regulatory compliance alongside the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
