AI has the potential to diverge from previous technological revolutions by reducing inequities rather than exacerbating them.
As a Director in the AI and Data team at Deloitte New Zealand, I lead our AI insights and engagement initiatives. Assisting organisations in creating value for their customers using current data and AI technology is what drives me, all while ensuring the establishment of trust through effective governance.
I’m passionate about fostering collaborative partnerships between the private and public sectors, with a specific emphasis on the health sector. My contributions span various advisory boards and programmes in data science, AI, and analytics. These include significant involvements to operational projects, including the New Zealand COVID-19 response, New Zealand Algorithm Hub, and the Digital Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
While my primary focus is on health, my professional experience stretches across multiple industries, including academia, social investment, dairy, and telecommunications.
When I'm not delving into ways to advance artificial and human intelligence, I enjoy long-distance running and trying to keep up with the activities of my three children.
