Marc Alden
CEO, Deloitte Malta
Marc is the Chief Executive of Deloitte in Malta and is responsible for its strategic direction, delivering value to clients and making an impact in the community.
Marc’s career with Deloitte spans over 20 years, practicing principally in the field of taxation. He has worked with clients across a number of industry sectors, advising on their cross-border transactions and operations. Marc has been a Director at Deloitte since 2004, during which time he led Deloitte Malta's Tax Business for a period of six years. Marc continues to be responsible for leading significant client relationships and engaging with stakeholders. Marc is also a member of the executive committee of Deloitte Central Mediterranean.
Antoine Fenech
Director, Audit & Assurance, Deloitte Malta
Antoine is a Director within Deloitte Malta’s Audit & Assurance business, specialising in Assurance projects such as ESG Reporting and Assurance, Internal Control GAP analysis, IFRS training, impact assessments, and implementation of IFRS 15, 9, and 16 across various industries. He has extensive experience in ERP/EPM software implementations and Electronic Single European Format (ESEF) audit and advisory. Antoine has worked on large projects in Financial Services, Construction, Retail, Distribution, and Aviation sectors.
He manages Statutory Audits primarily within Financial Services, covering equity-listed entities, insurance companies, investment management firms, pension schemes, and administrators. Antoine completed a two-year secondment in Deloitte London, providing audit and advisory services to multinational and FTSE insurance clients, including leading SOX 404 reporting for a US-listed insurance company.
He contributed to Deloitte London’s insurance technical team, delivering IFRS 15 and 16 readiness assessments and acted as a technical accountant for a major UK insurance intermediary. Antoine also participated in IPO readiness for a leading life insurer.
He is active in professional working groups at the Malta Institute of Accountants, including those focused on ESEF and the Corporate Social Responsibility Directive (CSRD). Currently, he leads the Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) and Accounting Operations Advisory (AOA) within Audit and Assurance in Malta.
Silvano Azzopardi
CFO, Hudson Holdings Ltd
Silvano joined Hudson Holdings Ltd in early 2025 as Chief Financial Officer after more than two decades living in Asia. He is responsible for all finance and treasury operations across the various countries and territories that Hudson operates in. Silvano held various senior finance roles globally with an expertise that extends to setting up various companies, businesses, joint ventures and manufacturing plants across China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, South Korea and Japan for a US listed entity. In his latest role in Asia, he led the finance function for the group’s largest global business unit with revenues of over $1 billion. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, legal, compliance, HR and administration. Silvano holds an MBA from the University of Warwick, a B.A in Accountancy from the University of Malta, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has also completed an Executive Leadership Program by the University of Oxford.
Claudio Coppini
CFO, The Convenience Shop
Claudio Coppini has more than two decades of experience in financial management, reporting, and strategic planning. Before joining The Convenience Shop Group in 2025, he served as Group Chief Financial Officer for two multinational pharmaceutical companies and played a central role in various group and internal restructuring projects. He held senior finance management position in Manufacturing, Aviation and Fintech companies. Claudio holds a degree in Professional Finance from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), is a Certified Public Accountant in Malta, and is a member of both the Malta Institute of Accountants and the ACCA (UK).
Edwina Cassar Pullicino
Senior Manager, Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory, Deloitte Malta
Edwina is a warranted certified public accountant and joined Deloitte Malta’s Financial Advisory business in July 2019 after reading for a Masters in Accountancy at the University of Malta. Throughout her time at Deloitte, Edwina has been involved in various engagements within the corporate finance and M&A sphere, having advised clients on both buy side and sell side M&A, corporate restructuring, debt restructuring, feasibility assessments and capital raising including listing of instruments on capital markets. Edwina has also been involved in a number of Asset Quality Reviews undertaken by ECB on leveraged finance for both local and foreign banks and has also gained expertise in lending operational processes, credit risk assessments and credit risk measurement and control.
Karen Cuschieri
Director, Technology & Transformation, Deloitte Malta
Karen joined Deloitte in November 2019 and leads the Technology, Strategy & Transformation team, delivering a wide range of services in relation to the management of digital and business projects, definition and implementation of transformation roadmaps as well as management of M&A transactions and post-merger integration.
Karen has over 20 years of experience in project management and transformation, managing the delivery of large-scale business and digital transformation projects across various industries primarily in the UK, including financial services, public sector, policy and accreditation, private commercial, and health.
She also has extensive expertise in feasibility studies and business case modelling to define change management programmes and benefits realisation plans. She is trained in both PRINCE2 and Agile project delivery methodologies and has delivered consultancy, mentoring, facilitation and training in Agile both locally and abroad.
Mads Haugegaard Albrechtsen
CFO Gentoo Media
Mads Haugegaard Albrechtsen is the Chief Financial Officer at Gentoo Media, a leading global iGaming affiliate operating across five international offices. Gentoo Media is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and has an corporate bond.As CFO, Mads is a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, Mads oversees financial strategy and cross-functional governance across finance, risk, compliance, investor relations, business intelligence, and IT infrastructure.
Before joining Gentoo in 2025, Mads was a Partner at Deloitte Denmark and a state-authorised public accountant, advising high-growth digital companies on financial transformation, M&A, and capital structure. His leadership today supports Gentoo’s continued expansion in a fast-moving, data-led industry - with a sharp focus on scalability, transparency, and sustainable growth.
Matthew Xuereb
Director, Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory, Deloitte Malta
Matthew joined Deloitte Malta’s Financial Advisory business in 2011. Prior to Deloitte, Matthew read for a MSc in Finance at Imperial College Business School after gaining a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Malta. Matthew has gained significant experience in EU Banking Industry through his involvement in the engagement of providing advisory services to MFSA and ECB in relation to the Asset Quality Review and Stress Test of the systemic banks in Malta.
Reuben Attard

Reuben Attard is the Chief People & Finance Officer at GO plc, Malta’s leading telecommunications provider. Reuben oversees the company’s financial strategy and people agenda, driving sustainable growth while fostering a high-performance culture. Charles Falzon
Finance Director, Foster Clark
Mr Falzon is an experienced Finance Director at Foster Clark, with a proven track record across diverse industries. He is skilled in business planning, management, financial accounting, business transformation, and process optimisation and also brings valuable experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Gianluca Busuttil
Senior Associate, Deloitte Legal
Gianluca is a warranted lawyer and a Senior Associate forming part of Deloitte Legal in Malta, having also completed the Malta Institute of Taxation’s Course on Taxation. His main areas of specialisation are gambling law, AML/CFT law, commercial and corporate law, insolvency law, and data privacy law. Before joining Deloitte in 2019, Gianluca worked at a traditional Maltese law firm for four years.
During his experience with Deloitte, Gianluca has provided regulatory advice on a number of high-profile client engagements, including the formulation of regulatory policy and related work in the fields of corporate and insolvency law, and AML/CFT regulation as specifically applicable to gaming operators.
Ian Coppini
Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory Leader, Deloitte Malta
Ian currently leads the Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory business at Deloitte Malta, a role he has held since 1 October 2024. Prior to this, he was the Risk Advisory leader. Ian transitioned into the advisory business after 18 years in the firm’s Audit & Assurance business.
In his current role, Ian spearheads a team that provides professional services in Risk, Regulatory & Financial Crime, and Strategy & Transaction Advisory. He serves as the engagement director on a diverse range of projects, primarily focusing on regulatory advisory, financial crime advisory, internal audit, and enterprise risk management.
During his tenure in Audit & Assurance, Ian acted as the audit director for numerous public and private entities across various industries, with a particular focus on the Insurance and Asset Management sectors.
Additionally, Ian serves as the Financial Services Industry leader at Deloitte Malta. His extensive experience and leadership continue to drive the success and growth of the advisory business.
Ian Callus
CFO and Finance Director, The Access Bank Malta Limited
Ian Callus is the CFO and Finance Director of The Access Bank Malta Limited, a licensed credit institution serving as a strategic European hub for the Access Bank Group. He has extensive experience in accounting, audit, and advisory, with a strong focus on the banking sector.
Prior to joining Access Bank, Ian headed the Business Performance & Analysis department at FIMBank plc and led the Financial Planning & Analysis function at Bank of Valletta plc. He also held senior finance and internal audit roles at other local credit institutions. Earlier in his career, he spent over six years at a Big Four firm, delivering assurance and advisory services across various industries and markets.
Ian is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA), a registered accountant and auditor in Malta, and holds certifications as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Alan Schembri
CFO, Panta Group
Alan Schembri is a seasoned Chief Financial Officer with over two decades of experience across diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, FMCG, hospitality, retail, and engineering services. After graduating in Accountancy from the University of Malta in 2002, Alan began his career in auditing with Vincent Curmi & Associates, focusing on hospitality, manufacturing, and property sectors.
He then transitioned to industry, spending eight years at GlaxoSmithKline Malta as Finance Manager, overseeing pharmaceutical distribution and tender operations. In 2013, Alan took on a CFO role with Corinthia in Libya, leading finance for a construction start-up during a period of significant geopolitical change.
Returning to Malta, he joined Farsons Group as Group Financial Controller, supporting group reporting and financial management in the FMCG manufacturing space. Alan later became CFO at M&Z plc, where he led an ERP implementation in preparation for an IPO. In 2020, he joined The Convenience Shop as Group CFO, driving acquisitions and digital transformation in retail operations.
Currently, Alan serves as Group CFO at Panta Group, a leader in engineering services and M&E contracting, where he is spearheading a transformation program focused on driving operational efficiency and profitability.
Kurt Rapinett
Senior Manager, Technology & Transformation, Deloitte Malta
Kurt Rapinett leads the Data & AI offering within Deloitte Malta’s Technology & Transformation business. With over a decade of experience in top-tier management consulting firms, he brings a diverse industry background spanning financial services, retail and logistics, payments, gaming, hospitality, and the public sector.
He oversees the delivery of technology-enabled advisory and transformation projects, with a focus on technology and data strategy, system integration and migration, advanced analytics, automation and AI, FP&A/EPM solutions, and cybersecurity.
Kurt holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. He is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants’ Digital Committee and AI Working Group. Within Deloitte, he leads the Emerging Technology and Artificial Intelligence Strategic Growth Offering (SGO) in Malta, helping shape and drive Deloitte's innovation agenda in these areas.
Bede Payne
Senior Manager, Technology & Transformation, Deloitte Malta
Bede is a strategy, policy and transformation professional. He has worked in Asia, Oceania, and Europe across sectors as diverse as trade, transport, and infrastructure. He has a strong policy, advisory, strategic communication, and stakeholder management background.
Bede joined Deloitte Malta in 2023, bringing with him 18 years’ experience in policy, trade, and infrastructure across both the public and private sector. He has worked in senior roles in Asia, Oceania, and Europe and has a passion for transformation, strategy and leading change.
At Deloitte, Bede works across sectors to advise, support, and deliver on significant transformation projects, particularly in relation to technology and/or ESG.
Thomas Zammit
Manager, Audit & Assurance, Deloitte Malta
Thomas began his journey with Deloitte in 2014 as a student in the Deloitte Pathway Programme. After completing his Master’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta, he joined Deloitte Malta’s Audit service line, gaining valuable experience leading engagements across the financial services sector, including insurance, asset management, and pensions.
He later advanced into the role of technical IFRS specialist within Deloitte’s Assurance service line. In this role, he has advised on complex transactions under IFRS and GAPSME, delivered training on accounting standards, authored technical memos, and supported insurance undertakings in their transition to IFRS 17. His expertise includes preparing financial statements in line with IFRS, GAPSME, and IFRS 17 requirements.
In 2023, Thomas was seconded to New Zealand with the Auditor-General’s office, contributing to public sector audits of city and district councils. He is also currently supporting innovation within the finance function, helping clients apply technologies such as generative AI and automation to strengthen financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Neville Saliba
Manager, Audit & Assurance, Deloitte Malta
Neville joined Deloitte in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in IFRS advisory services, consolidations, and financial reporting framework conversions. After earning his Master’s in Accountancy from the University of Malta in 2020, Neville began his career in client accounting, which quickly evolved into a focus on accounting advisory.
He has since supported corporate clients' Heads of External Reporting with complex IFRS and GAPSME challenges, alongside delivering tailored training programs. Passionate about advancing the accounting profession, Neville actively engages in industry discussions and frequently delivers lectures and CPE sessions on financial reporting topics.
Mattheo Musi
Transfer Pricing Leader, Deloitte Malta
Matteo joined the Tax business at Deloitte Malta in 2024, where he is Transfer Pricing leader. He has over 20 years’ experience in advising multinational enterprises, private equity firms and corporate clients on transfer pricing analysis and planning, business restructuring and value chain transformation (principal model), as well as Advance Pricing Agreement (APA), Arbitration Convention Procedure (AC) and Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) negotiations.
Matteo has vast experience in cross-border tax matters, corporate reorganisation, tax due diligence and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This includes a relevant amount of structuring deal related services for corporates and private equity firms.
