Pierre Mallia
Technology & Transfromation Business Leader, Deloitte Malta
Pierre is a seasoned ICT professional and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience, having worked on engagements in various industries such as the public sector, telecommunications, software development, manufacturing, healthcare, media, retail, transportation, financial services and recruitment.
Throughout his career, Pierre has been involved in both start-ups and large-scale enterprises, including founding a number of startups. He spent seven years at Microsoft where, as Country Manager, he played a key role in the successful establishment and growth of the company’s subsidiary in Malta. In 2010, Pierre founded iMovo Ltd, a company specialised in helping businesses achieve agility, scalability and deliver a better customer experience through digital transformation.
Pierre holds a degree in Computer Science from Kingston University and has further refined his leadership skills through executive development programmes at the National University of Singapore and INSEAD. Pierre is also passionate about technology, travel and underwater photography.
Karen Cuschieri
Director, Programme Management & Business Transformation, Deloitte Malta
Karen joined Deloitte in November 2019 and leads the Technology, Strategy & Transformation team, delivering a wide range of services in relation to the management of digital and business projects, definition and implementation of transformation roadmaps as well as management of M&A transactions and post merger integration.
Karen has over 20 years of experience in project management and transformation, managing the delivery of large-scale business and digital transformation projects across various industries primarily in the UK, including financial services, public sector, policy and accreditation, private commercial, and health.
She also has extensive expertise in feasibility studies and business case modeling to define change management programmes and benefits realisation plans. She is trained in both PRINCE2 and Agile project delivery methodologies and has delivered consultancy, mentoring, facilitation and training in Agile both locally and abroad.
Kurt Rapinett
Senior Manager, Technology & Transformation, Deloitte Malta
Kurt Rapinett leads the Data & AI offering within Deloitte Malta’s Technology & Transformation business. With over a decade of experience in top-tier management consulting firms, he brings a diverse industry background spanning financial services, retail and logistics, payments, gaming, hospitality, and the public sector. He oversees the delivery of technology-enabled advisory and transformation projects, with a focus on technology and data strategy, system integration and migration, advanced analytics, automation and AI, FP&A/EPM solutions, and cybersecurity.
Kurt holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. He is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants’ Digital Committee and AI Working Group. Within Deloitte, he leads the Emerging Technology and Artificial Intelligence Strategic Growth Offering (SGO) in Malta, helping shape and drive Deloitte's innovation agenda in these areas.
Damian Heath
Director, Technology & Transformation, Deloitte Malta
Damian leads the Enterprise Technology & Performance service line within the Technology & Transformation business at Deloitte in Malta, incorporating three core pillars:
- ERP, CRM and HCM platform delivery and advisory services
- Business Intelligence, Analytics and Enterprise Performance Management solutions
- Technology Strategy and advisory services encompassing business transformation, enablement, security, and continuity
Damian has held a diverse career, working for large corporates in the UK, founding a start-up consultancy in Malta in 2005 later to be sold to Deloitte, and implementing enterprise solutions internationally across both small and large businesses alike.
A proven track record across multiple industries, initially within Retail FMC goods but also successfully implementing ERP, DMS and CRM systems within the Telco, Life Science and Financial Service sectors. This demonstrates a wealth of experience and business insight especially when considered alongside Damian’s experience of establishing his own Technology Consulting practice from the ground up.
Damian is primarily a solution architect, but also provides strengths in Stakeholder Management, Vendor Management, Project Management and Requirements capture and tracking. He has also delivered complex data migration and data management projects within core banking and insurance transformation programmes.
David Vella

Helen Cassar

Bede Payne

Bede is a strategy, policy and transformation professional. He has worked in Asia, Oceania, and Europe across sectors as diverse as trade, transport, and infrastructure. He has a strong policy, advisory, strategic communication, and stakeholder management background.
Bede joined Deloitte Malta in 2023, bringing with him 18 years’ experience in policy, trade, and infrastructure across both the public and private sector. He has worked in senior roles in Asia, Oceania, and Europe and has a passion for transformation, strategy and leading change.
Bede is a key member of Deloitte Malta’s Transformation and Strategy team, working across sectors to advise, support, and deliver on significant transformation projects, particularly in relation to technology and/or ESG.
David Tabone
Chief Executive Officer, The Convenience Shop
Mr David Tabone has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of The Convenience Shop group with effect from the 2nd January 2025. Mr Tabone has over two decades of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and hospitality industries. Prior to his role with the Group, Mr Tabone served as the CEO of Tryfon Tseriotis Ltd, a leading FMCG company in Cyprus, where he received significant accomplishments, including being named as the 4th Best Great Place to Work in Cyprus and recognised as a Top 150 CEO’s in Cyprus by Forbes. Prior to this role, Mr Tabone was the Senior Sales & Brand Manager of Alf. Mizzi & Sons (Marketing) Group, Malta’s leading FMCG distributor. During his tenure, Mr Tabone led the Sales & Marketing Departments in Retail and Foodservice and played a pivotal role in establishing the ‘Very Short Shelf Life’ Department. Mr Tabone holds a degree in Hospitality Management from the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta.
Ian-Edward Stafrace
Chief Strategy Officer, Atlas Insurance PCC
Passionate about innovation strategies and managing uncertainties to seize opportunities. He has had various roles within the Atlas group where he began in 2000 in commercial underwriting and eventually lead risk, compliance and business intelligence functions. He has further expertise in EU based insurance protected cell structures, from traditional captive models to new consumer InsurTechs using smart contract blockchain technology. He is also Risk Manager and Chair of the Risk and Regulatory Committee of Merill SICAV plc, a UCITS collective investment scheme. To help promote and advance risk management in Malta, he co-founded the Malta Association of Risk Management (MARM) where he is currently a board member. He is an MSc Risk Management graduate from Birmingham City University with his dissertation focused on developing a risk management framework for EU Insurance Protected Cell Companies that also meets Solvency II Pillar 2 requirements. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Certified Fellow of the UK Institute of Risk Management.
Loic Mosse
Platform Lead, Salesforce
Loïc worked with a panel of startups and large digital companies in Europe before joining Salesforce in 2006 as Account Executive. He held Sales leadership roles in Western and Southern Europe as Regional Vice President, before joining the publisher’s Platform entity in 2022, with the mission of developing the innovation, security and data privacy business in the Southern EMEA region. Loïc received a Master’s degree from the Institute for Political Studies of Lyon in 1993, and a Msc in Business from EM Lyon in 1996.
Robert Debono
Head of IT Strategy, Bank of Valletta
Robert is a seasoned executive with a rich background in top-tier management roles across diverse sectors, encompassing both public and private domains. His expertise spans the spectrum of services and manufacturing industries, underscored by proficiencies in information technology, strategic planning, project management, human resource development, training, and change management. Robert holds a Doctorate in Business Management, specialising in Digital Enterprise Transformation and Practice. His research focus delves into the intricacies of organisational digital transition within agile market environments. Complementing this academic achievement, Robert possesses a Master's Degree in Business Management, backed by a Bachelor's degree in International Relations with Human Communication as a secondary area. Additionally, he holds a National Diploma in ICT, supplemented by an array of industry certifications. Notably, Robert also commands a trainer warrant in Engineering Design, further enriching his multidisciplinary skill set. Throughout his career, Robert has taken on pivotal roles, including that of Chief Information Officer, IT System Operational Authority (ITSOA), National Systems Administrator for EU Funding, Head of EU National Agency, European Union Commission expert for Educational Programmes, Change Management Principal and well as that of Business Consultant. His contributions have been instrumental in spearheading various digital transformation initiatives and implementation of robust governance standards both locally and internationally.
