When I began my career as a fresher nine years back, I had little idea about the nature of work, and soon I discovered my true passion—data. I was thrilled to join Deloitte as I always gravitated towards consulting to explore and work across domains and different business problems. It gave me the opportunity to expand my skill set, learn new tools, and enhance thedepth of my industry knowledge.
The most intriguing part about working with data and AI is that the work is never the same. It is, in fact, a challenging and ever-evolving domain. The bestpart is that applications of data science are countless, and organisations across industries can use data to transform and enhance businesses in multiple ways. I enjoy decoding patterns in data, learning constantly,and finding undiscovered insights, which can help businesses make data-driven decisions.
I find work exciting when it provides a new ground for me where I can learn and grow. I had an opportunity to work with one of the FMCG clients on digital analytics for the online customer journey, purchase behaviour, and profiling to explore different buying patterns, types of consumers, and much more.The journey from digital data collection to generating insights was a different experience compared to traditional shopping data. I was amazed to see how trivial nudges can alter online shopping behaviour and customer journeys, and I learnt immensely over the course of two years.
