January 2026: Deloitte Ireland today announced the appointment of Ron Doyle as Partner in its Tax & Legal practice. This appointment materially strengthens Deloitte Ireland’s leadership position in aviation finance, aircraft leasing, and financial services tax at a time of heightened transaction activity and continuing disruption in the domestic and international tax landscape.
Ron brings almost two decades of specialist experience advising aircraft lessors, operators, financiers, and multinational groups on complex domestic and cross-border tax matters. His expertise spans corporate and financial services tax, M&A, portfolio financings, platform structuring, and restructurings, with a consistent track record of leading high-value, multi-jurisdictional transactions.
He joins Deloitte from PwC, where he was an International Tax Director.
Beyond client delivery, Ron is a recognised authority in aviation finance taxation. He has played an influential role in the development of Irish tax policy through representative bodies and domestic consultations, engaging directly with policymakers and industry leaders. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and an Associate of the Irish Tax Institute.
Ron’s appointment is a clear statement of intent. We are investing decisively in market-leading expertise as we continue to scale our firm and deepen our impact with clients. Ron is one of the most respected figures in aviation finance taxation, and his arrival strengthens our ability to advise on the most complex, high-stakes transactions in the market. As we build momentum and accelerate our growth, appointments of this calibre are what are keeping Deloitte one step ahead.
explains Harry Goddard, CEO of Deloitte Ireland.
Deloitte Ireland is setting the pace in the market. Both in the strength of its Tax & Legal platform and in the ambition of its growth agenda. The firm’s global reach, technical depth, and integrated approach create a very compelling proposition for clients navigating complexity at scale. I want to drive that ambition forward and to work with clients at the forefront of aviation finance and international tax.
adds Ron Doyle.
Ron’s appointment reflects Deloitte Ireland’s continued expansion of its partnership and its bullish investment in specialist leadership. As the number one professional services firm globally, Deloitte is advancing its expertise, scale, and confidence to lead clients through the next phase of market evolution.
This strategic appointment comes in advance of the Airline Economics Growth Frontiers Global conferences taking place in Dublin this week. The events bring together a powerful mix of aircraft lessors, financiers, airlines, MROs, and asset‑management specialists, reflecting Dublin’s status as the world’s leading hub for aviation leasing.
