Deloitte, one of the world’s largest professional services firms, today announces the acquisition of System Dynamics, one of Ireland’s biggest technology consulting businesses which has been serving Irish and UK clients for 40 years.
The acquisition will further boost Deloitte’s leading position in consulting in Ireland, adding both to the scale and capability of its technology consulting business.
Commenting on the deal Deloitte Managing Partner Brendan Jennings said: “This is an extremely positive development for Deloitte in Ireland. We have experienced huge growth in demand for our technology consulting services including digital, analytics, FinTech and cloud services, as well as broad demand for more traditional IT and enterprise resource planning services. We have been investing heavily in these areas, including the acquisition of Curach Consulting in 2011, bringing our current Consulting & Advisory team to over 1,000 in Ireland. Our plans are to expand our range of technology services to Irish based clients and scale up the services we export through Deloitte’s network of offices in 150 countries.”
According to Tony McGuire, CEO of System Dynamics: “This development gives us the scale to work with larger clients nationally and internationally, while giving existing clients access to the broad range of services offered by Deloitte including business advisory services and global delivery centres.”
As the world’s largest management consulting business, Deloitte is distinct in its ability to help clients solve their most complex problems, from strategy to implementation. The team has the ability to integrate a broad range of talent and skills – across human capital, strategy & operations, and technology – aligned to the unique needs of clients’ industry sectors, businesses and organisations.
System Dynamics provides professional services including programme management, business and IT change; development services including design, development, implementation and support services; asset management services to help clients optimise returns from IT; and software sales. It has particular strengths in financial services and in the public sector and has invested in leading technical capabilities.
