Noel is a partner in Deloitte Ireland's Actuarial, Rewards & Analytics practice and supports our clients across actuarial transformation, reserving adequacy, capital optimisation and solvency, data and AI strategy, regulatory compliance and model governance.
Noel has 30 years’ experience across the direct, reinsurance and consulting sectors and has unrivalled experience performing actuarial reserve reviews having been approved by the Central Bank to provide actuarial opinions to more than 50 regulated entities. Noel also currently or has recently acted as the Reviewing Actuary to all of the most senior non-life actuaries in the Irish market.
He is widely recognised as a leading voice on non-life insurance matters, regularly publishing thought leadership and presenting at industry events on a range of topics including most recently in relation to market trends, artificial intelligence and regulatory developments. Noel sits on Council of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and chairs the General Insurance committee. He has led several Society of Actuaries working groups focusing on serving the public interest and contributing to discourse on claims award levels.
