Brian O’Callaghan is the Head of Audit & Assurance at Deloitte Ireland, where he leads more than 1,000 professionals across the island of Ireland.
His team provides audit, assurance, and advisory services to a broad range of the firm’s national and international clients. Brian takes pride in combining leading technology with talented professionals to deliver excellence for clients and build trust.
His leadership responsibilities span both the Irish and wider EMEA Deloitte Network. Brian is a member of both the Deloitte Ireland Executive and the Deloitte EMEA Audit & Assurance Executive.
Before becoming Head of Audit & Assurance, Brian served as the Deloitte Ireland Risk & Reputation Leader. In this role, he was responsible for all regulatory, public policy, risk and reputation matters pertaining to Deloitte in Ireland and represented the Irish firm on the Deloitte North and South Europe (NSE) Risk & Reputation Executive.
In addition to his leadership role, Brian is a highly experienced Audit & Assurance partner, having worked in professional services for more than 25 years. He has primarily focused on providing audit, assurance, and advisory services for clients in aviation finance, structured finance, banking, and insurance. Brian previously spent three years in Australia working in the aviation and structured finance industry, arranging complex asset and structured finance transactions in the aviation, infrastructure, and transportation sectors.
Brian has also held several senior roles within Deloitte, including Head of Financial Services Audit and Aviation Finance and Leasing Industry Leader.
He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a member of the Irish Taxation Institute.
