Impact Report 2024

Our WorldClass ambition is to positively impact 300,000 lives in Ireland by 2030. We are so proud in 2024 to have already reached 196,472 people. Our 2024 focus remains on harnessing the collective power of our people, our partnerships and our resources to develop job skills, improve educational outcomes and expand opportunities. 

This year, we take great pride in highlighting our collaboration with the National College of Ireland’s Early Learning Initiative (ELI), a programme that has become a cornerstone of social development in Dublin's Docklands. Born out of a commitment to regenerating the local community, this project focuses on early intervention and education within homes and neighbourhoods, helping participants build a brighter future for themselves and their families.

Deloitte’s purpose, to make an impact that matters, compels us to act on the increasingly complex challenges society faces today. A cornerstone of our WorldClass ambition is expanding opportunities for underserved and underrepresented populations.  Since 2020, our Development Programme has provided work placements for individuals who have submitted their application for international protection/refugee status and are awaiting a final decision. The ‘Time To Talk' programme, in partnership with Business in the Community Ireland, was set up to support people from immigrant and refugee backgrounds who have found themselves outside of the workforce for extended periods of time. It aims to help them gain more confidence in their English conversational skills. By providing a safe space for people to practice speaking, participants can move forward with the confidence to build their lives in Ireland.The accelerating pace of climate change reminds us that if we fail to protect our ecosystems, we risk undermining the very foundations of our societies. Our clients understand this too.   

This year, we’ve also worked with UCD School of Mathematics & Statistics to fund DEIS schools as part of our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development goals. This involved participating in a year-long academic research study among teachers. The findings of this study hope to improve teaching methods in post primary mathematics classrooms, influence policy in STEM Education and increase equity in the Irish education system.

By aligning our efforts with the needs of our communities, we are not just fulfilling our purpose - we are setting a new standard for what it means to make an impact that truly matters.
