Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a crucial tool for digital transformation across public sector organisations. Since September 2019, Deloitte is working in partnership with the Department of Public Expenditure & Reform (DPER) and the Office of Government Procurement (OGP).
This collaboration has significantly transformed the Irish public sector, delivering efficiencies, cost savings, and improved service delivery and the technology is within reach for all public sector organisations and business areas.
In the past year, Deloitte's partnership with public sector bodies (PSBs) has reduced administrative burdens by over 32,500 working days, showcasing how automation can deliver material efficiencies and savings swiftly.
This report highlights numerous success stories of PSBs implementing intelligent automation projects, demonstrating the benefits for organisations, employees, and citizens. It also outlines opportunities to accelerate RPA capabilities across the Irish public sector.
The single partner approach has enabled PSBs to develop in-house RPA expertise, supported by Deloitte's comprehensive range of services, including license supply, technical support, consultancy, and training.
Deloitte remains committed to supporting the Irish public sector in reimagining service delivery through intelligent automation, ensuring continued success and innovation in the years ahead.
The OGP RPA Framework enables PSBs to procure RPA software, training, and support, with Deloitte as the provider for software licensing, training, and consultancy services.
Deloitte's Robotic & Intelligent Automation Team collaborates with public sector bodies to reimagine essential services using RPA software, which automates high-volume, rules-based tasks intuitively and efficiently.
