Sri Sekar is an infrastructure and energy transaction expert with 11 years of experience in the local, national, and emerging market economic development sphere. Sekar has led multimillion dollar renewable energy transactions in and developed energy development strategies for countries throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. He is currently advising the Government of Vietnam on piloting a program introducing the direct procurement of power by private sector entities, and the Government of Zambia on the adoption of distributed energy resources to electrify rural areas of the country. Sekar’s expertise includes the application of blockchain technology to facilitate clearing and settlement in emerging markets’ power market operations, especially those operations impacted by the rapid uptake of variable and distributed generation of renewable energy resources.
