Sam Samuel Duncan Padgett

Sam leads the Private Equity Origination effort in Asia Pacific, coordinating and managing key relationships with global and regional PE firms. Prior to joining Deloitte, Sam spent more than a decade as an investment banker with Barclays in both New York and Hong Kong. The past nine years he focused exclusively on APAC PE clients. Sam started his career as a consultant, working at a boutique strategy firm and Deloitte Consulting in New York.

Sam speaks and writes Mandarin Chinese (HSK Level 5, HSKK Advanced), which he has used to conduct meetings, due diligence, market research, and interviews. He graduated from Middlebury College cum laude with a dual major in Chinese and economics. He has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth where he graduated as an Edward Tuck Scholar and served as a tutor and teaching assistant for corporate finance and capital markets courses.
