Sara Siegel is Deloitte's Global Sector Leader for the Health Care and Health & Human Services sectors.
Sara oversees Deloitte’s health care practices in all countries where the organization operates and works closely with public and private health care practice leaders across the Deloitte network to help organizations address transformational changes impacting the sector, including digital transformation and AI, workforce challenges, and operational efficiencies.
Sara is based in the UK and continues to maintain the NHS as a client in addition to her Global portfolio. She has worked with the NHS and other health care clients for the past 20 years in the UK and across Europe and has led the growth of the UK health care practice over the last several years. Sara is passionate about the mission of the NHS and, together with her team, supports the organization in doing more and better with the resources available to it.
Some of Sara’s work includes supporting the government’s Coronavirus testing program and introducing robotic and cognitive automation to improve the speed and quality of NHS services while freeing up more time for direct patient care. What Sara enjoys most is helping clients introduce and adopt innovative practices, whether pioneered by individuals or first tested in other health systems around the world. She also works extensively with large technology companies to implement digital technologies and AI solutions for health care clients.
In her Global role, Sara works to foster connectivity among health systems around the world, all of which are seeking to solve similar challenges. Led by her, the practice supports health care clients with digital implementations, cybersecurity, data analytics, care pathway redesign, workforce improvements, virtual care, and, increasingly, AI and generative AI solutions to address the complex issues affecting health care.
Sara holds a BS from Northwestern University and an MBA from Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires (INSEAD). She serves on the President’s Leadership Council for the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) and is a trustee of both the Peter Sowerby Foundation, which supports health care causes, and Helpforce, which promotes volunteering within the NHS.
