Olivier May is Deloitte’s Global Chief Commercial Officer (Global CCO) for IBM. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of Deloitte’s global alliance relationship with IBM. Olivier focuses on delivering hybrid and multi-cloud cloud strategies, data & AI solutions, and cyber risk services for Deloitte and IBM’s joint clients.
Previously, he served as a principal within Deloitte Consulting LLP, focused on strategy and operations (S&O) and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Olivier has worked on global M&A transactions ranging from $700M to $85 billion, and offers 26+ years of M&A experience including due diligence, integration, divestiture, carve-out, and restructuring projects. Olivier has an extensive IT transformation background, that he leverages to accelerate execution of M&A transactions and achieve greater return.
Olivier was recognized as the winner of the prestigious 2020 M&A Advisor’s “M&A Deal of the Year” award. Additionally, Olivier has served as a Lead Consulting Partner for one of Deloitte’s largest Telecom clients and was the US M&A Asset and Innovation leader for three years.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Olivier was chief information officer (CIO) at a multi-billion-dollar financial institution, and has a tenured track record as a trusted IT advisor to portfolio clients advising, planning, and delivering their IT strategies across financial, high-tech, telecom, and consumer products industries. He has published several articles on M&A technology integrations and divestitures, and spends time between Chicago, IL and Naples, FL with his wife and two children.
