Kuma Sordzi

With more than 16 years of HR consulting experience, primarily in New York and Los Angeles, focused on servicing private equity clients, Kuma is the National Leader of Deloitte Canada’s HR Diligence offering. Kuma started her career as a pension’s actuary and quickly pivoted to M&A, advising clients on the full lifecycle of transactions.

Kuma’s expertise includes due diligence reviews focused on people related valuation drivers (historical earnings and debt), identification of labor/people synergies, development and execution of integration plans to ensure maximum and timely value creation and divestiture preparation. Kuma has consulted on over 500 different transactions including a significant number above US$1 billion in enterprise value.

Kuma holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Quebec in Montreal, is a Certified Compensation Professional and is a native French speaker. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and completing her advanced degree in AI, machine learning and data science at MIT.
