John McInerney is the manager of health research at the Deloitte Center for Government Insights, as well as a specialist master in the Government & Public Service (GPS) practice. McInerney has almost 20 years of Medicaid, CHIP, managed care, and health financing experience at both the state and federal levels. He has worked on most major health reform initiatives of the past few decades, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Medicare Modernization Act, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act. McInerney assists Deloitte’s state clients as a policy advisor on issues around Medicaid reform and the ACA.
