Iván Rubio leads Deloitte Spain’s Engineering & Construction sector, advising infrastructure and mobility companies on transformation, risk and growth.
Since 1999 Iván Rubio has advised companies in infrastructure, construction and mobility, accompanying them in contexts of high operational, financial and regulatory complexity.
In his current role, he leads the development of Deloitte Spain's sectoral strategy for Engineering & Construction, articulating an integrated offering of services aimed at companies in the sector (engineering, construction, construction materials, urban services and concessionaires). This strategy combines Deloitte capabilities, with an end-to-end approach that helps address the main challenges of the sector: transformation of business models, digitalization and operational efficiency, risk management, sustainability and new growth opportunities.
Throughout his career he has led audit projects for large organizations in the sector, combining a solid technical base with a clear business focus. His experience includes, among other areas: financial auditing, optimization of business models (construction and concessions), support in transactions and due diligence processes, financial modeling and value generation, transformation of financial processes and functions, and adaptation to complex regulatory frameworks, including International Financial Reporting Standards.
He actively participates in the sectoral ecosystem as a speaker in reference forums, contributing to the analysis of key trends such as the evolution of the concession model, the growing regulatory pressure and the financial challenges associated with infrastructure development.
