Deloitte Global Chief Ethics Officer

Debbie Rheder currently serves as the DTTL Global Chief Ethics Officer. As the Global Ethics Leader, she is responsible for setting the strategy and key priorities related to ethics/integrity within Deloitte. She works with member firm leaders and Ethics Officers to implement the organization's ethics program and build a culture of integrity. Together, they help keep a continuous spotlight on ethics by communicating expectations of behavior and working to embed ethical decision-making into key processes and initiatives.

Ms. Rheder has held other leadership roles including the Deloitte US Board Secretary and Managing Director of Consulting Partner Matters. As board secretary, Ms. Rheder was responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate governance which include but are not limited to managing all board related activities, executing board decisions, managing partner votes, providing communications on board related topics, and serving as the custodian of records. As the Managing Director of Consulting Partner Matters, she was responsible for all aspects of the partner/principal/ managing director (PPMD) lifecycle, from internal senior manager PPMD promotions and external direct admit hires through retirements and resignations. She worked closely with the Consulting CEO and Executive Committee to establish overall strategic goals and oversee the performance management processes – including goal setting, evaluations and compensation/unit allocation.

With over twenty years of professional experience and fifteen years at Deloitte, Ms. Rheder has a proven track record of tackling complex issues with successful results. She began her career as an auditor at KPMG and then joined an internet start-up as the Controller. In 2001, she joined Deloitte in the strategy and operations practice with a focus on cost optimizations, ERP and point solution implementations, process redesigns, and other impact driven engagements.

Ms. Rheder graduated from the University of Florida, where she earned a bachelor of science in accounting. She is a registered CPA and has earned the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight issued by Carnegie Mellon University. She resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband and two children.
