Prof. Dr. Arno Probst is the leader of the Deloitte Global Boardroom Program, which brings together the knowledge and experience of Deloitte member firms around the world to address critical topics of universal interest to company boards and management. Its mission is to promote dialogue between corporations and their boards and management, investors, the accounting profession, academia, and government.
In addition to his global role, Prof. Dr. Probst leads Deloitte Germany’s Executive & Board Program and the Center for Corporate Governance, and is a partner in Deloitte Germany’s Audit & Assurance practice.
Prof. Dr. Probst is a lecturer and Honorary Professor at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, lecturer at Handelsblatt Board Seminars, and Board Seminars at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of the German Institute of Chartered Accountants (IDW) and was founding Chair of the Corporate Governance & Company Law Working Group at IDW until 2017. He is also co-editor and author of the Audit Committee handbook Buhleier/Probst/Schenk, published by Schäffer-Poeschel (currently in its 4th edition), and has authored various publications on corporate governance and the board.
