Coenrad Alberts is the Deloitte Global Mining & Metals sector leader, responsible for shaping Deloitte's strategy, market positioning, and client engagement across the Global Mining & Metals sector. He has worked closely with mining leaders around the world on the industry's most important opportunities and challenges, including growth, operational performance, digital transformation, sustainability, and large-scale business transformation.
In addition to his global sector leadership role, Coenrad serves as Chief Growth Officer of Deloitte Consulting Africa where he leads the growth agenda, focusing on industry development, priority client programs, strategic alliances, business development, and market expansion across the continent.
With nearly 30 years of industry and consulting experience, Coenrad has advised executive teams on strategy, business transformation, operational improvement, capital effectiveness, digital enablement, and large-scale SAP-enabled programs . Prior to joining Deloitte, he held engineering, project management, and program leadership roles in the mining and steel industries.
Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Coenrad holds an MBA from Stellenbosch University and engineering degrees from the University of Pretoria.
