Annis is a director in Deloitte UK and leads its Tax Controversy Private Markets team. She is an ex-HMRC tax controversy specialist who specializes in supporting wealthy families, their businesses, trusts and family offices during voluntary disclosures to tax authorities and in responding to tax disputes. She has particular specialisms both in helping clients proactively understand their risk profile and in acting in civil cases of suspected fraud.

Annis is also a CEDR-accredited mediator with experience of mediations with HMRC. Outside of Deloitte she chairs the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’s compliance and investigations committee.
