Immigration Update June 2025

The EU Member States have extended the temporary protection for refugees from Ukraine and updates on the Positive Lists and the Danish standards for salary.

We are thrilled to bring you the most recent immigration updates from the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) and from the Danish Immigration Service.

The EU Member States have agreed to extend the temporary protection for refugees from Ukraine. The extension will be valid until 4 March 2027. It has been proposed by the Danish minister of immigration and integration that Denmark will follow this.

Furthermore, from 1 July 2025 there are updates for:

  • The Positive Lists
  • Income statistics

The Positive Lists
New Positive Lists for People with Higher Education and Skilled work will be published and are valid from 1 July 2025.

See the positions included from 1 July 2025 in the new Positive Lists here.

Danish standards for salary
The Confederation of Danish Employers’ (DA) salary statistics will be updated and published and will be applicable for all applications submitted from 1 July 2025. The salary statistics are updated each quarter, and the next update will come into effect 1 September 2025.

The salary statistics are used to assess if an employee’s offered salary corresponds to Danish standards, which is a requisite for a work permit to be approved.

If you need help determining the employee’s salary, our team can assist. The income statistics can be found here.
