Deloitte named a Leader by Gartner in Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Services Worldwide

News Release

NEW YORK, NY, USA, 20 May 2020—Gartner, the world’s leading information technology and advisory company, named Deloitte a Leader in its May 2020 report titled, Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Services, Worldwide. Deloitte also scored highest in the Professional Services with Guided Support use case in the Gartner report, May 2020 Critical Capabilities for Public Cloud Infrastructure Managed and Professional Services, Worldwide.

“Our focus at Deloitte is helping clients reimagine their business and technology future by fully realising the potential of cloud and disruptive technologies,” says Ranjit Bawa, Deloitte Consulting LLP US Cloud leader. “We’re honoured to be recognised as a Leader, which we believe is an acknowledgement of our efforts to support these client transformations. We think cloud remains more important than ever in helping our clients thrive in the evolving environment.”

Gartner defines “public cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) delivers compute, storage and network resources in a self-service, highly automated fashion. The leading public cloud IaaS providers also offer platform as a service (PaaS) capabilities and other cloud software infrastructure services as part of a cloud infrastructure and platform services (CIPS, previously referred to by Gartner as integrated IaaS+PaaS) offering.”

On the market, the report explains, “a public cloud infrastructure MSP [managed service provider], in the context of this Magic Quadrant, is a provider that offers both professional and managed services related to infrastructure and platform operations for one or more hyperscale CIPS providers.”

“Looking ahead, the ability to harness cloud and related enabling technologies is critical in adapting to new modes of operation and navigating this period of uncertainty,” adds Bawa. “Deloitte will continue to work hand-in-hand with clients to apply strategies catalysed by cloud technologies, industry ecosystems and modern delivery models.”
