Toronto, November 25 2025 – Today, the Deloitte Canada 2025 Impact Report was released, underscoring the power of collaboration in driving progress across business, environment, society, and governance. This report spotlights how Deloitte’s Purpose—to make an impact that matters—is brought to life everyday through our work with clients and communities, driving progress toward a more sustainable, innovative, and prosperous Canada for all.
“Meaningful progress that lasts is never achieved alone. Our purpose and legacy are rooted in the idea that together makes progress, and together we can overcome challenges and unlock new opportunities for Canada’s future,” says Anthony Viel, CEO of Deloitte Canada and Chile. “By joining forces with organisations, Indigenous people, and communities, we amplify our collective lasting impact that empowers Canada and Canadians to reach our full potential.”
A cornerstone of this year’s report is Deloitte’s ongoing commitment to advancing reconciliation and economic empowerment for Indigenous Peoples across Canada. The Expanding Horizons: Year-five Reconciliation Action Plan update report details the firm’s progress against 15 renewed commitments across inclusion, education, employment, and economic empowerment. Over the past year, Deloitte has co-published new volumes of the Voices of Indigenous Youth Leaders on Reconciliation series. Through sponsorships, volunteering, and pro bono support, Deloitte reached more than 10,000 Indigenous youth, further strengthening its role in community development.
Deloitte’s contributions to economic empowerment is evident in its procurement achievements, with 5.3 per cent of spend directed to Indigenous businesses and a growing network of Indigenous suppliers.
The launch of R8dius, an Indigenous majority-owned and Deloitte-supported technology and managed services business, stands as a testament to what can be accomplished together. Driven by its purpose to “Widen the Circle” and now employing 80% Indigenous staff, R8dius is expanding opportunities for Indigenous Peoples to lead in professional services, while fostering prosperity and strengthening digital skills within Indigenous communities. The Nation Building Advisory team continues to work side-by-side with Indigenous Nations and organizations, supporting transformation and sustainable growth across Canada.
“Every day, our people find new ways to make a difference,” says Viel. “It’s the consistent small actions and teamwork that add up to deliver real progress. By working together, we can raise our ambitions, redefine what’s possible, and help create a sustainable future where everyone can thrive.”
A highlight from the report is Deloitte’s dedication to innovation and technology for public good, exemplified through its work with BC Hydro,
a leader in clean energy. Together, Deloitte and BC Hydro are modernizing British Columbia’s electricity grid by deploying artificial intelligence and drone technology for remote asset inspection, improving worker safety and infrastructure resilience. This collaboration is strengthening communities, creating skilled jobs, and ensuring reliable, sustainable energy for generations to come. Deloitte is also supporting BC Hydro with cyber security initiatives, advanced metering infrastructure, and battery energy storage systems, empowering customers to make smarter energy choices and benefit from a more robust electricity system.
The annual report also underscores Deloitte’s significant investment in communities through 6,984 hours of pro bono services. In addition, in the past fiscal year, Deloitte employees contributed more than 13,500 volunteer hours, demonstrating the firm’s ongoing commitment to making a positive difference nationwide. One example of this impact is Deloitte’s collaboration with the Ottawa Sports Council (OSC), a non-profit supporting over 800 local sport groups. Through the Community Advisory Program, Deloitte volunteers helped OSC develop a comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) roadmap. These efforts are enabling OSC and its member organizations to better serve athletes of all backgrounds, build stronger communities, and invest more resources in the people they support.
