Matt Campbell

Energy Transformation Leader, Deloitte

Matt leads Deloitte’s public sector energy transformation work in Atlantic Canada. He works at the intersection of policy, infrastructure, and market development — helping governments, regulators, utilities, and industry advance economic growth alongside decarbonization goals. Matt is driven by helping clients convert bold ambitions into tangible results, translating complex energy priorities into clear strategies, investment pathways, and practical implementation plans.

Matt has deep experience advising on offshore wind, clean fuels development (including hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuel), power system transformation, regulatory modernization, and municipal climate action. He works closely with industry, government, and community partners to build consensus and shape pragmatic, implementable roadmaps in complex operating environments.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Matt served as a senior policy analyst with the Government of Nova Scotia’s Cabinet Office, and before that, as an aide in both houses of Parliament in Ottawa. He holds a graduate degree in Social Policy and Planning program from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Economics from McGill University.
