Kelly Peters

Global Behavioural Economics Leader and Partner

Kelly Peters is the Global Behavioural Economics Leader and partner at Deloitte Canada, where she leads an advanced team of behavioural scientists in applying the science of behaviour change to help organizations create better products, services, and experiences for their stakeholders. She has overseen the design and launch of hundreds of behavioural economics projects worldwide for major organizations across financial services, consumer goods, energy, and government sectors.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Kelly was the founding CEO of BEworks, the first consulting firm dedicated to applying behavioural economics to business and policy challenges, which she cofounded in 2010 with leading academic scholars. During her twelve years as CEO, she designed the BE Method- a robust methodology that integrates the rigour of the scientific method with behavioural insights and management consulting pragmatism. Kelly pioneered applied behavioural economics in 2009 by launching one of the world's first in-house behavioural economics practices at a major financial institution. Her work democratizes scientific thinking by asking the critical question 'How do you know?'- empowering organizations to challenge intuition with evidence and transform uncertainty into testable experiments.

Kelly studied philosophy with a focus on technology's impact on society and holds an MBA with a concentration in banking from Dalhousie University. She has served on the board of BIOrg at University of Toronto and currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Loyalty Science Lab. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed publications, and she has served as a lecturer and faculty advisor at leading universities. Kelly received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Consulting Magazine and is an international keynote speaker, frequently addressing audiences on the latest developments and applications in behavioural science.
