Renée Pichard

Renée is a Partner in Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice, where she leads public sector and ESG reporting assurance services. With more than 30 years of experience in accounting advisory, auditing, and executive leadership across both the private and public sectors, she is recognized for her expertise in public sector financial management, sustainability reporting, and circular economy assurance.

At Deloitte, Renée advises governments and public sector organizations on accounting, finance transformation, and ESG reporting. She also leads the Canadian circular economy assurance practice, helping producers across industries navigate Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations. Before joining Deloitte, she served as Assistant Auditor General at the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, where she led the financial audit practice, including the audit of the Public Accounts of Canada.

Renée has contributed to standard setting in Canada and internationally for more than 15 years. She currently represents Canada on the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB), where she chairs the Natural Resources Task Force and the Sustainability Implementation Forum.
