With its distribution network expanding fast and further growth ahead, the client's ageing mainframe could no longer keep pace. The organisation set out to replace it with a modern SAP landscape built on SAP EWM and SAP ECC, streamlining inbound, outbound and internal operations on one scalable, future-ready foundation.
The obstacles were real: no unified ERP to run end-to-end processes, limited visibility across the supply chain, and pressure to adapt faster as markets shifted - all while bringing more than 850 employees through the change and folding SAP SPM, including SAP EWM and SAP TM, into the wider architecture.
Modernising the warehouse behind a growing distribution network
Deloitte designed and rolled out a single global warehouse template across the Parts Center and multiple regional warehouses, giving the network standardised, scalable operations worldwide. A Hybrid Agile delivery model - adaptive agile paired with proven predictive project management - kept the programme aligned with how the business actually runs.
As part of the transformation, the team:
The programme delivered two SAP EWM go-lives for the SAP SPM solution, at the Regional Warehouse and the Spare Parts Distribution Center. The global process template built along the way became the blueprint for future international deployments, with SAP EWM and SAP ECC as its foundation. The legacy mainframe gave way to an integrated SAP platform that improved supply-chain visibility and operational transparency across the network, while giving the business the flexibility to respond to changing market opportunities. Warehouse operations were standardised and logistics processes modernised, on a platform designed for long-term scalability and efficiency.
Where it pays off:
