The S/4HANA program described here extends a previous S/4HANA program to the industrial sites, covering five levels: ERP, Planning, MES, MDM and Performance Management. Fragmented and obsolescent systems and processes, and the need to integrate APS, MES and SAP S/4HANA, called for a single, reliable data platform – while addressing key market trends and maintaining competitiveness.
Integration of fragmented and obsolescent systems in one reliable data platform
Deloitte deployed SAP EWM within the program, alongside OTC, PTP, QM, LE, MES, MDM and Performance Management. The team defined a common vision and strategic roadmap, identified pain points in existing processes and developed a best-practice-based target model, supported by a detailed analysis and macro-roadmap. The core model was validated at the pilot site in Ireland before a gradual deployment across all relevant sites, with ITC and UAT to validate functionality and continuous stakeholder engagement, training and change support to ensure a smooth transition.
As part of the transformation, the team:
The implementation of SAP EWM for S/4HANA brings transformative value by streamlining warehouse operations with enhanced efficiency and precision. Fully integrated with SAP S/4HANA and with systems like MES and APS, it standardises processes across alllocations.
The solution delivers real-time insights, optimises logistics and enhances quality control. It strengthens inventory management, enables robust performance tracking and supports scalability – empowering the business to boost market competitiveness through digital transformation and process optimisation.
Where it pays off:
From fragmented systems to astandardised, GxP-ready warehouse
