50 fastest growing Belgian technology companies and 10 Rising Star finalists announced

Deloitte Private unveils top players in the Belgian start-up and scale-up world with the 11th annual Technology Fast 50 nominees and Rising Star finalists.

Deloitte Private today released the names of the nominees of the 11th annual Technology Fast 50 in Belgium. In addition to the list of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies, Deloitte Private also named the 10 finalists of the Rising Star competition, which recognises promising companies that have been active in the technology sector for less than four years. The Technology Fast 50 award will be presented to the fastest-growing technology company in Belgium in terms of its percentage of growth in turnover over the past four years. Deloitte Private will announce the Fast 50 winner 2024 as well as the different category winners at the Fast 50 Awards Ceremony on 24 October 2024. Click here for the full list of nominees.

At this year’s Fast 50 Awards Ceremony Deloitte Private will bring together the key players from Belgium’s tech scene, helping expand the networks of technology entrepreneurs. By connecting start-ups and scale-ups with corporations and family-owned and run companies, investors, and entrepreneurs, Deloitte Private aims to stimulate cross-fertilisation and further encourage technological innovation in the vibrant Belgian scale-up ecosystem.

They did not make it easy for our industry experts who had to select the 10 young tech companies that will pitch for the Rising Star jury,”

In addition to the award for fastest growth, the 2024 Fast 50 contestant that achieved continuous growth over the past years will receive an award for Most Sustainable Growth.  

One winner for each of the below categories will also be awarded.

Rising Star and Most Disruptive Innovator nominees
 

Companies that have been active in the technology sector for less than four years are featured in the Rising Star category. On 18 September, 70+ Rising Star applicants delivered a first pitch in front of a jury of Deloitte Private industry experts. These 10 companies made it to the final and are invited to pitch again to the Rising Star jury on 24 October: 

  • EffexDewi Van De Vyver, Leuven: Effex’s platform helps team members design, run, and analyse experiments while collaborating in real-time with colleagues. 
  • Artion – Tom Van Coillie, Aalter: Artion’s independent software enables organisations to manage their environmental and safety inspections digitally. 
  • OnTracx Senne Bonnaerens, Ghent: OnTracx uses advanced biomechanical algorithms to quantify the mechanical load on a person’s muscles and bones during running. 
  • Tekst.aiWouter Janssen, Ghent: With Tekst.ai’s AI platform, enterprises can give their business a boost by taking control of their emails, tickets, and other conversations. 
  • Aikido SecurityFelix Garriau & Willem Delbare, Ghent: Aikido is a no-nonsense AppSec platform, one central system that shows what matters and how to fix it, from code to cloud. 
  • DonnaNicolas Christiaen, Ghent: Donna is a digital sales assistant that takes care of sales admin, so that salespeople can type less and close more deals. 
  • IntelliProveJoeri Tulkens, Destelbergen: IntelliProve’s 100% software-driven face scanning technology fuels digital health, requiring no specialised equipment or wearables.  
  • anyKrowdChristophe Stemberger, Anderlecht: anyKrowd is a 360° event operations platform that simplifies operations so that organisations can focus on creating great experiences. 
  • D-CRBNGill Scheltjens, Antwerp: D-CRBN is a climate tech company providing industrial solutions to mitigate carbon emissions. 
  • Bizzcontrol Nicholas De Nil, Ghent: Bizzcontrol helps accountants to offer proactive advice in the language of the entrepreneur, maximising their added value in a scalable way.

The Rising Star jury is chaired by Lorenz Bogaert, Co-founder and CEO of the start-up studio StarApps. The jury includes distinguished members from the business community: 

  • Veroniek Collewaert, Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Vlerick Business School  
  • Heidi Rakels, Founder of GuardSquare (2016 Rising Star winner, 2018 Fast 50 Winner), ICT Woman of the year 2019 
  • Sophie Stegen, Head of Listing at Euronext Benelux & Central Eastern Europe 
  • Ann Van Mele, Venture Acceleration Manager at Imec.istart 
  • Jean de Crane, Former CEO Isabel Group 
  • Jannes Valkeneers, Co-founder of Bullswap (2023 Fast 50 Winner)
  • Renaat Berckmoes, Co-founding Partner of Fortino Capital Partners
     

The Most Disruptive Innovator awards is presented to the Rising Star nominee that has developed the most revolutionary concept or product within a specific technology segment.

The 2024 Belgian Technology Fast 50 competition is organized in cooperation with Euronext, Fortino Capital, and Vlerick Business School.
