Laurent is Managing Partner for Strategy, Risk, Transaction & Advisory at Deloitte Belgium and leads Sustainability for Deloitte NSE. With 30 years of experience in climate, finance, risk, and operational excellence, he has tripled the size of Deloitte’s Advisory Practice in Belgium and is dedicated to helping clients and teams achieve their goals with confidence.
Laurent is Managing Partner Strategy, Risk, Transaction & Advisory in Belgium. He has been a member of the Deloitte Belgium Executive Committee since 2015, he has led the former Risk Advisory Sustainability Practice within Deloitte North and South Europe (NSE). Since 2024 Laurent is the Non-Financial Reporting Disclosures (NFRD) leader for Deloitte Global and today, Laurent is also leading the Sustainability practise within Deloitte NSE.
Laurent began his professional career in 1995 at Arthur Andersen, first as a financial auditor and later as an advisor. He joined Deloitte in 2002 and became a partner in 2005. During his advisory career, Laurent held various positions as an Internal Auditor, Finance Manager, and Operations Manager at several larger Belgian and Global companies. He was also the talent leader for the former Risk Advisory Belgium Practise. Under his leadership, the Advisory Practice in Belgium has almost tripled in size. Laurent has 30 years of professional experience in various industries and has a strong background in financial and operational reviews. His focus is on climate & sustainability, finance & operations, risk & controls, internal & IT audits, analytics, project & change management and coaching.
