Jan is a Director in the Indirect Tax department of Deloitte Belgium. He has more than 10 years of experience in (indirect) tax and advises both Belgian and multinational companies on their indirect tax issues, with a special focus on companies in the Energy, Resources & Industrial sector.
He advises companies on a broad range of Belgian and international VAT issues and other indirect taxes such as environmental and energy taxes. Jan is the Indirect Tax sustainability lead, supporting businesses in connecting their sustainability strategy with (indirect) tax & legal aspects, thereby closely working together with the other business units of Tax & Legal. Jan helps companies on protecting themselves from (potential) indirect tax risks, to identify and implement possible opportunities and to align their operating model and strategy with the sustainability journey.
