Joël is Chief Risk Officer for Deloitte Belgium and a member of the Deloitte Belgium Executive Committee.
From 2016 to 2026 Joël has been the Managing Partner Audit & Assurance. He is a member of the Deloitte Belgium Executive Committee since 2016 and combining the Chief Risk Officer role since 2019. Joël is a member of the Belgian Institute of Chartered Accountants (Instituut van de Bedrijfsrevisoren/Institut des Réviseurs d'Entreprises).
With over 30 years of experience in Audit & Assurance services, Joël has coordinated US GAAP and IFRS audits for large corporations within the consumer business and manufacturing industries, as well as both public interest entities and private corporates. Over the years, he built extensive experience with international environments, IFRS, financial reporting and controls, operations and governance.
In his leadership role, Joël dedicates a significant portion of his time to connecting with our clients.
