Geert is a Partner in the Belgian Monitor Deloitte Consulting practice. He has over 20 years of international experience in turnarounds and transformations both as a corporate executive and a management consultant and this from a strategic, financial and operational perspective. Prior to joining Deloitte, Geert was the Group CEO of Agidens, an Ackermans & van Haaren and Axe Investments portfolio company in industrial automation with focus on the Oil & Gas, Life Sciences, Food & Beverages, Chemicals and Infrastructure industries.
Geert is heading the Belgian end-to-end restructuring offering “T² - Turnaround to Thrive” and is part of the EMEA restructuring community. He is also a Partner in the ,ER&I industry for Strategy, Business design and M&A.
Geert focusses on turnarounds (distressed companies), transformations (underperforming companies) and companies that have complex and persistent strategic questions and challenges. He guides his customers, as a trusted advisor and sparring partner, through an intense process that realigns both economic, strategic, operational and legal interests. He works with management, executive committees, boards of directors, shareholders, investors, lawyers, and other advisors to coordinate a viable and comprehensive business plan, a sound financing structure, and the consensual resolution of interests. He assists negotiations by analyzing a company's financial, strategic and operational picture in terms of the strategic playing field (‘where to play and how to win’), asset values, cash flows, the company's future plans and projections. His interventions and assistance aim at finding a solution and rebuilding the confidence of all stakeholders.
