Cyber Risk

Cyberspace is constantly evolving and so are the threats it brings. That’s why our work is more meaningful (and exciting) than ever. Always one step ahead, we predict risks and safeguard our clients through end-to-end solutions.

What will you get to do?

As a worldwide leader in cyber strategy consulting and cyber intelligence, we are comprised of five specialist pillars:

  1. Strategy & Governance: We help clients develop their cyber security strategies and processes to transform security capabilities in an era where cyber is everywhere
  2. Architecture & Engineering: We work with clients to design and integrate industry-leading security solutions across cloud, infrastructure, identity and access management and applications) that proactively defend clients against cyber attacks.
  3. Identity and Data Protection: Through a wide range of specialised skills in risk, regulation and platform engineering, we help clients with advice and solutions to manage data privacy, integrate automated identity and access management capabilities and data protection
  4. Secure Digital Solutions – We design and integrate industry-leading security solutions across the cloud, digital services and operational technology. This includes providing architecture services across a wide range of cyber capabilities and solutions
  5. Detect & Respond: We monitor our client’s systems to detect threats and rigorously test their cyber defences. We also advise clients on establishing threat intelligence, security detection, monitoring and automated response capabilities.

Digital & Transformation Risk

These provide businesses with great opportunities for change and innovation, but significant transformation can be inherently risky. We help clients safely and sustainably bridge this gap between risk and opportunity.

By joining our team you'll work with clients across a variety of industries including Financial Services, Energy & Natural Resources, Government Public Sector, Consumer Business, Life Sciences & Healthcare, and Technology, Media & Telecommunications. You will help our clients confidently transform how services are designed and delivered to communities, re-imagine business models, accelerate digital transformation, and adopt emerging technology.

What will you get to do?

On a typical day with us, you could be:

  • Assisting clients to meet their governance, risk, and compliance obligations.
  • Design and implement regulatory frameworks and end-to-end risk management processes to deliver high-quality outcomes efficiently and effectively.
  • Build relationships with clients to effectively advise and support them through their transformation journey.
  • Advise on the risks facing digital transformations and ensure they are appropriately addressed at the right stage of implementation.
  • Define and embed risk management strategies for digital technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence, and cloud.
  • Provide program/project management delivery, risk management and assurance services for large-scale transformation projects and programs.
  • Establish alignment between the client’s business value and benefits anticipated from the transformation. 

We want team members with an understanding of business environments, and technology and a willingness to learn how complex IT environments and major transformation programs impact business operations.

Degrees: Business, Commerce, Project Management, IT or a combination of these degrees.

Financial Risk

Our clients want to understand and model uncertainty. They want to learn from data, and they want to optimise and automate business decisions. Our job is to help them connect data with decisions.

Work with our experts across one of three streams:

  1. Advisory: Shape strategy, define policy, navigate the regulatory environment and understand competitive landscapes.
  2. Analytics: Use core Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science capabilities, alongside interrogating data to build explanatory and predictive models, design decision strategies and create insightful data visualisations.
  3. Technical: Develop relevant analytic and programming skills as you learn how we provide services in data curation, process automation, cloud computing, decision engines, solution architecture and bureaux interfaces!

Risk and Controls Intelligence

Data Risk & Compliance

Our curious and data-driven team is comprised of 3 main pillars:

  1. Data Risk & Compliance Analytics: Our Data Risk and Compliance Analytics team supports our clients from the development of their data strategy and governance framework through to the implementation of operational analytics solutions leveraging robotic process automation and machine learning. Currently, we’re focusing on regulatory compliance, reducing operational risk, data lifecycle management, and controls transformation within a wide range of industries!
  2. Workplace Integrity: Our Workplace Integrity team combines practitioners with advanced analytic skills and deep industrial relations expertise to support clients to navigate the complex workplace regulatory landscape and identify innovative opportunities to achieve great outcomes for businesses and their employees.
  3. Advisory: Our Advisory team works closely with clients to advise, implement, and deliver solutions that address complex regulatory risks. We bring together risk, process, and control transformation to embed and improve our client's operating models, underpinned by data analytics. This provides our clients with the comfort that risks are appropriately mitigated, streamlines their operating model, and drives intelligent decision-making through the use of data.

What will you get to do?

No two days are the same in the Data & Analytics team as you help clients navigate and understand complex business issues and organise them into data-driven solutions to build process flow and build data strategy.

On a typical project, you’ll work closely with a team of experts and start off by sourcing and preparing data for analysis. Then, you’ll dive deep into the data to develop meaningful insights to present back to the client using software like Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI. Advanced statistical modelling software such as Python and R are tools at your disposal. Don’t fret, you'll have 100% support from the team as you pick up these new skills! Once you’ve discovered hidden data insights, you’ll get to develop tailored recommendations and solutions for the client. Pretty cool, right?

Third-Party Risk Management

When you join Cyber & Strategic Risk Services as a specialist in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), you will see how we work with some of the largest organisations in the world, across a variety of industries, and how we assist them with the development and operation of TPRM programs including Asset Management Programs and Enterprise Software Licensing.

Given the ever-increasing size and complexity of third-party ecosystems, our clients are leveraging our firm’s expertise to implement and operate a wide variety of TPRM solutions designed to mitigate risks and drive more value in third-party relationships. Our client list includes eminent organisations across industries, e.g. technology, mining, banking, insurance, oil and gas, and public sector.

What will you get to do?

  • Design and implement broad third-party governance and risk management frameworks/processes
  • Develop third-party risk and control assessments
  • Create strategies related to operational and financial compliance
  • Assist with third-party management technology (e.g., GRC solutions)
  • Support clients in the execution of their third-party programs through such things as royalty inspections, most favoured nation/customer compliance inspections, software compliance and more.
