Our Controls Assurance teams advise Australia’s top businesses and organisations on their control environments, including third-party assurance, internal controls, and IT risk controls.

Working primarily with the financial services sector, our specialists identify, understand, advise, and implement relevant control methodologies and processes that foster resilience and readiness for our clients in a dynamic landscape.

• Accounting & Reporting Assurance

Our teams apply core assurance and technical accounting skills in an assurance or consulting context to assist our clients in managing their operational performance. Our team comprises specialist advisors in finance function assurance, large accounting transactions, and specialised finance outsourcing, providing advice across a wide range of industries and various levels of government.

• Sustainability & Emerging Assurance (SEA)

Sustainability at Deloitte focuses on helping businesses integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into business strategies to promote long-term resilience and value creation. Emerging assurance involves providing stakeholders with confidence in non-financial information.

• Sustainability & Climate

Our highly diverse and multidisciplinary team combines deep subject matter expertise, strategic thinking, data, and technology to meet the equally diverse and fast-evolving needs of our clients. Our experience and expertise span Sustainability and ESG Strategy, Impact Measurement, Climate Risk, and Reporting across a range of local and global standards and frameworks, supporting complex and diverse reporting and advisory client engagements.

• Treasury & Capital Markets (TCM)

Analytics Solutions

Our A&A Analytics Solutions team uses a combination of data insights, modelling, digital technologies, machine learning and automation to transform and re-imagine audit processes. We're absolute data nerds and love working with numbers and large data sets (the more unstructured, the better!).

What will you get to do?

• Attend client meetings to scope problems and subsequently clarify and refine requirements.
• Transform and analyse client data, developing your ability to use analytical tools like SQL, Python, Tableau and R.
• Learn or develop your programming skills in Python, C# or JavaScript while enhancing our analytics platform.

Technology Controls

IT systems and networks are integral to a business's success. In today’s corporate landscape, IT ecosystems are becoming increasingly complex. With greater complexity comes greater risk. That’s why our team exists. Working with our Finance Audit team, we assist our clients in understanding the maturity of the controls that govern their IT systems in support of financial risks.

What will you get to do?

• Liaise with clients to understand their business processes, system interfaces, and IT infrastructure.
• Investigate and confirm if the client’s IT controls are designed and implemented effectively to address specific financial audit risks.
• Help the team ensure controls align with industry standards and best practices.
