StandOUT: Deloitte’s LGBTI+ and Ally Network
StandOUT is Deloitte Australia's Lesbian Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI+) network and ally community. The StandOUT network contributes to Deloitte’s LGBTI+ inclusion strategy.
Our initiatives support our overall goal of creating an inclusive environment where all our people feel respected, valued, and included. We know that helping our people feel a sense of belonging enables them to achieve their full potential.
Deloitte Australia is proud to be an Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) Platinum employer with the highest recognition for LGBTI+ inclusion in Australian workplaces.
Building Trans Inclusive Workplaces Report
As an AWEI Platinum Employer, we released a landmark report on enhancing the experiences of transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse employees. The report identifies three pivotal "Moments that Matter". By highlighting these moments, we aim to provide actionable insights for organisations to enhance their inclusivity practices and create safer, more supportive workplaces for all employees.

LGBTI+ Mentoring Program
Deloitte’s LGBTI+ mentoring program empowers LGBTI+ professionals through meaningful, one-on-one connections. The program pairs mentees with experienced mentors who offer guidance, career development support, and a safe space for sharing experiences. This initiative not only nurtures individual growth but also strengthens Deloitte’s broader culture of belonging, visibility, and allyship.
Our gender affirmation policy
We want our people to feel safe and supported at work. We have a Gender Affirmation Policy for team members affirming their gender and offer additional leave to support this. In 2024, we doubled this leave and introduced a Trans Champion Program. We also upskill coaches, so they can support team members through this process.
Our partnership with Sydney WorldPride and Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
Our three-year partnership with WorldPride and Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (2022 – 2024) has given us the opportunity to participate in broader discussions about diversity and inclusion, not just for our LGBTI+ communities but also for those of different cultures, identities, genders, and the First Nations community.
We also created the Wonderful, Proud, and Free report, which uses insights from the 2022 Australian Workplace Equality Index survey to highlight the benefits of LGBTQ+ inclusive workplaces.
