Hannah is a Senior Associate Director in Financial Advisory where she leads the South Africa Economic Advisory practice. She is also Deloitte Africa's Acting Chief Economist. Until end 2023, Hannah led the firm’s Insights portfolio, producing research-based thought leadership across Africa. Hannah has also previously led Knowledge Management for Deloitte Africa. Over the last 18 years, Hannah has worked with corporate and government leaders, providing research, analysis and insights that assist in strategy formulation and implementation in Africa and emerging markets. She works across Deloitte Africa delivering on client engagements that include macro and microeconomic research, analysis and insights, and has led various projects and initiatives across sectors for the firm. Hannah has previously been visiting faculty at the University of Stellenbosch Business School and has lectured at various local and international business schools. Hannah has also led and facilitated international trade, investment and research delegations into Africa, Asia and Europe. She is a regular guest speaker at local and international thought leadership events and a contributor to various publications, focusing on Africa’s economic and commercial development. Hannah holds a MComm degree in Economics (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch. Prior to joining Deloitte in 2015, Hannah was one of the co-founders and a director at Frontier Advisory. Hannah is married to Hannes and they have two children, Isabella (5) and Joshua (2).

Thembeka is an Associate Director in the Deloitte Financial Advisory ("FA") team. Thembeka has 10 years experience both locally and abroad in M&A transaction services including financial due diligence, restructuring, and Sale and Purchase Agreements ("SPA") advisory in a variety of sectors and industries. Prior to joining FA, Thembeka served her 3 years articles in the Deloitte FIST Audit division in the Durban office, following which she spend time on secondment to the Deloitte Dubai office. Thembeka spent over 2 years (between 2019 to 2021) on secondment to the Deloitte London office in FA, SPA team where she was specialising in advising on the cash accounting implications of the transaction agreements being negotiated and, together with the legal advisors, developing contractual solutions to accounting or commercial issues identified through the various due diligence exercises. Thembeka is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

Akinola is a Partner in the Deloitte Financial Advisory division. He leads the Transaction Services Team for West Africa and has over 14 years of experience in undertaking financial advisory assignments ranging from pre-deal support, due diligence assignments (including buy-side, sell-side and vendor assist), SPA support, reporting accounting and restructuring services. His experience spans from financial services (including banking, pensions and insurance sectors), manufacturing, healthcare, real estate, agriculture, energy, consumer services, aviation and telecommunications sectors, having advised various clients ranging from listed companies, blue chip companies, private equity firms, development finance institutions to small and medium enterprises

Kevin Kimotho is a Partner with the Financial Advisory team at Deloitte East Africa. He has over 10 years of Financial Advisory experience across Professional Services, Private Equity and Consumer Goods Industries in East Africa. Kevin’s financial advisory experience has seen him involved in notable merger and acquisition advisory, valuations, due diligence, market and feasibility studies and business plans development in various industries including financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing and FMCG, healthcare and energy.
