Sandile Thwala

Sandile has a strong operations background, with over 15yrs work experience predominantly in the Telecommunication sector in various roles. He has spent time working with variable speed drives and maintaining locomotives for mines within a leading industry vendor. He later moved to the telecoms sector commissioning & maintaining BSS (2G and 3G), OSS and IN systems for some of the key telco players in the local market and other African countries such as, Mauritius, Madagascar, Malawi. His IT experience includes looking after backend Midrange Unix server infrastructure for one of the major banks, and High Performance Computing clusters for a Nuclear research company. Prior to joining Deloitte, he was with a Canadian based IN Systems vendor as head of the Customer Support Services division, responsible for African and Latin American Telco clients' online charging and billing systems.
