Julie is the Partner leading the Deloitte Risk Advisory Department in East Africa. In the last ten years she has built the practice into a high performing team making an impact in the marketplace with revenues growing tenfold.
She has over 25 years’ experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and other Financial Crime Services, Corporate Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Based Internal Audits, Data Assurance, Financial Audits, Sarbanes Oxley Act Compliance Testing, IT Governance, Application and Security Controls Testing among other Risk Advisory Services.
In addition to her Risk Advisory role, Julie is the Deloitte East Africa Chief Strategy Officer and Clients & Industry Leader; roles she assumed in May 2018. In these roles her focus is refreshing the firm wide client focus and experience, creating a distinctive client service offering across the firm while enhancing the Deloitte’s brand in the market place.
Julie has been a facilitator and presenter in global forums like the Deloitte World Leaders Meetings held in London and Washington DC, as part of Young Partners Advisory Council (YPAC) group. She has also presented in local public sector forums such as the 2016 ESAAG conference in Nairobi, Kenya and in conferences and annual seminars organized by professional bodies such as the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) across the East Africa region.
