On November 1, 2020, Seun was appointed Managing Director at Siemens Energy Nigeria and on October 1, 2022 Seun also doubles as Managing Director for Siemens Energy Ghana. Siemens Energy is a leading energy technology company focused on energizing society and accelerating decarbonization.

Seun joined Siemens Energy in 2015, Bringing over 15 years’ experience and deep expertise in the private sector across Europe and West Africa. He is an accomplished business strategist and success driven leader with strong business acumen.

He has been a core member of the executive management team serving in roles as Sales Director West Africa -Service Distributed Generation Oil & Gas and Vice President Service & Digital. Prior to this, Seunalsoheldvarious functional and managerial positions with ABB Ltd UK, ABBNG Nigeria, Schneider Electric Nigeria and Dresser Rand Nigeria Ltd.

Seun is vastly experienced in establishing Operational Excellence with specific competence in the Power, Oil & Gas sector and holds a First degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Ilorin, a masters in Oil & Gas Engineering from University of Aberdeen; a Certificate in Project Management fromOxford University and recently an Executive Postgraduate Program in Advanced Management from ESMT Berlin.

Over the years, in various capacities, Seun stands out as a professional with talent in sales, marketing, business development, project management and operations management. As Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Energy Nigeria & Ghana, he is responsible for the entire management of operations and decisions on business policies and corporate strategy, while creating shared value for all stakeholders. When not working Seun loves to cook, listens to Nigerian music and enjoys traveling around the globe. He is married with children

Shamini is a seasoned climate change expert who holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science with a specialisation in climate change management. She has nearly two decades experience in the field, having begun her career as a researcher at the Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research, before moving into a corporate environment focusing on climate change management.

At Sasol she is the Vice President for Climate Change where she leads a diverse team focusing on reducing emissions, transforming operations and shifting the company’s portfolio. In December 220 she was appointed by the President as a Presidential Climate Commissioner. For five years she negotiated international climate change policy, as the first business representative on South Africa’s negotiating team at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

She was previously Co-Chair of the National Business Institute’s Environment Committee and Chair of the South African Petroleum Industry Association’s Climate Change Committee. She is the current BUSA Environment and Just Transition Committees Chair, representing business at NEDLAC. Shamini remains active in South African and international climate change policy development processes and is a sought-after speaker on the topic at local and global conferences.

Heidi Akran, a Senior Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), is based in Johannesburg Nigeria. She has played leading roles in structuring investments across Europe, America, and Africa utilizing a wide array of instruments from equity to debt. In infrastructure, Heidi has been involved with investments in thermal power projects, renewal power projects, airports, military housing, and water projects. Currently Heidi is leading IFC’s initiative for providing power solutions to commercial and industrial customers in SSA.

Mpho Ludalo was appointed as the Sustainability Champion for Region Africa for Siemens Energy, on October 1, 2021. Based in South Africa, Mpho is responsible for shaping the sustainability strategy for Region Africa and developing sustainability opportunities to meet the challenges of the energy transition.

Passionate about Africa’s energy transition journey with major focus in developing individual roadmaps for African countries taking into consideration local drivers and countries boundary conditions. Mpho started her career with Siemens in 2011 and has held multiple roles within the organization through the years, in 2020 she was appointed as the Head of Sales for Generation Services in South Africa and service engineer, between years 2011 and 2020.

Mpho holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. Mpho is currently an MBA candidate. In her spare time, Mpho loves spending time with her husband and her daughter. Mpho is a running enthusiast, her perfect moment for reflection.

Simon is a Director with a highly diversified background in Risk Advisory, EHS and ESG consulting with a strong operational performance and capital infrastructure background. Simon’s core focus includes ESG adaptation and resilience, advanced risk analytics (AI-Driven Modelling), risk optimisation, helping clients to decarbonise through the low carbon economy transition, achieve netzero (netpositive) and sustainable development across the supply chain. Simon has led business development and account management across several multinationals within the energy and transport sectors. Simon has grown and led Risk Advisory Teams across Africa, Middle East and Australasia for a global engineering major and Capital Project Delivery Teams for a global sustainability firm across Africa which included multiple skillsets such as operational performance, integrated management systems, environmental and social impact assessments, management plans and E&S due diligence in accordance with international best practice.
