Are Durban and KwaZulu-Natal ready?
Deloitte, in collaboration with Durban Investment Promotion and Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN), has conducted a study that analyses the key factors driving investment in Durban and KZN. More than 60 executives of companies operating in Durban and KZN were surveyed and interviewed in the study.
With KZN being the second largest economy in South Africa, contributing around 16% towards the GDP of the country, this study benchmarks Durban and KZN against other investment locations in South Africa and identifies key location factors and main drivers for investments. The study furthermore investigates the challenges and opportunities of investing in the region to help businesses and local government attract local and foreign investment and to strengthen the dialogue between the public and private sector.
