How it works

Case studies

Global pharmaceutical

Our client works with more than 170,000 third parties and on-boards more than 2,000 new entities every year.

Their existing approach was inconsistent, a lack of a systematic approach to monitoring their third-party network exposed our client to a range of risk factors that could have significant consequences for their business. We provided a managed service that used a combination of cutting-edge technology and human analysis to monitor existing entities and screen new ones as they were on-boarded.

We tailored the service to our client’s specific risk profile, reviewed masses amounts of data at scale, checked sector specific sources and integrated with a case management system to allow rapid alerting.

Global financial technology

Our client was interested in identifying potential regulatory changes, or the emergence of new regulations globally across ten specific regulatory domains including but not limited to accessibility, consumer protection and corporate governance.

We were able to stand up this service within a week, producing a quarterly refresh of regulatory change reporting into a risk sensing dashboard. We also identified the current status of the regulation i.e. proposed, effective, adopted, announced or effective and provided the client with the key dates related to each regulatory change.

As a result of this service, our client was able identify early on where changes were required in their processes in order to get ahead of the curve in ensuring compliance with regulation changes in a timely manner.

Global manufacturing

Our client had a strategic priority to grow the market share of its non-combustible products through investing in its social media capabilities and improving visibility of compliance with global and internal regulations.

Within two months, we designed and piloted a managed service to monitor compliance in 21 markets across social media marketing channels, delivering visibility and reporting on compliance as well as brand protection activities and crisis detection and notification.

This managed service was scaled globally, and a Crisis and Incident framework, Standard Operating Procedure, Governance Frameworks and global stakeholder onboarding was delivered in parallel with accessible dashboards.

Global oil and gas company

The client has become aware of the increasing importance of complying with new ESG and Sustainability regulations.

To minimise the potential impact, they wanted to explore this further and identify the potential legal risks associated with ESG and Sustainability, so they can act early and mitigate them. We conducted an open-source research investigation across 3 jurisdictions (US, UK and EU) to identify any reporting that could indicate a potential risk of non-compliance or changes within ESG regulations and frameworks.

Our reporting enabled the client to forward project its strategic approach to ESG and Sustainability policy and regulatory compliance.

UK broadcasting

The client needed to monitor their employees’ level of compliance with their social media policy to safeguard their reputation.

We conducted an open source intelligence investigation to identify instances of violations of the client’s social media guidelines, assess how widespread was the issue, and identify the problem areas.

Our analysis helped the client to have a better understanding of the level of compliance with their social media guidelines. They were able to understand the key areas of non-compliance with the guidelines and adjust their internal messaging and training to address these areas of concern.

Global professional services

Our client was interested to understand the impact the ongoing Ukraine conflict was having on global markets, commodities, consumer products and supply chains.

We stood up the service within 24 hours of the request, producing daily summary reports to capture the key insights and trends to help support our client’s decision-making process.

This service would be of great interest to anyone seeking a managed service to help them deal with a raft of challenges, from protecting their brand and reputation, to informing strategic decision making.
