Supporting Eastern High School
Connecting with our local community to make a difference to young people
Deloitte is proud of its school community partnership with Eastern High School and is committed to positively impacting the lives of its students.
Eastern High School is an English medium co-educational, community school in the Rumney area of Cardiff, Wales. The school serves the communities of Rumney, Llanrumney, Trowbridge and St Mellons on the eastern side of Cardiff. It opened in September 2014 on site of the old Rumney High School. It moved to its new home at the Eastern Community Campus on Trowbridge Road in January 2018.
Since 2018, volunteers from our Deloitte office in Cardiff have been working with Eastern High in a number of ways, such as:
- Group mentoring sessions with a group of Year 10 pupils
- Attended careers events and offered employability training
- Attended parents’ evenings to offer advice to pupils on apprenticeships at Deloitte
- Hosted pupils at ‘Careers with Deloitte’ sessions at our offices in Cardiff
