Deloitte appoints new office senior partner for Bristol
Deloitte has appointed Sam Hart as its new office senior partner for Bristol.
A native Bristolian, Sam has over 30 years’ experience in professional services, and has been at Deloitte since 2005, becoming partner in 2009. She leads Deloitte Private in the South West and Wales, advising some of the region’s most prominent businesses, as well as clients from across the UK.
Dave Tansley, practice senior partner for the South West and Wales, said, “Deloitte's senior team in the region has been strengthened by Sam's appointment. I am delighted to be working with both Sam and Ian Howse, office senior partner for Wales, as we set the strategic direction for Deloitte in our region.”
In this new role, Sam will lead Deloitte Bristol’s 700 people, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. In August last year, Deloitte underlined its commitment to investment in the city with the opening of its new office in the Halo building in Finzel’s Reach. The modern, sustainable space has been integral in creating a vibrant hub at the heart of the city’s business community.
Sam Hart, office senior partner for Deloitte Bristol, said: “Having lived and worked in Bristol all my life, I’m passionate about the city’s vibrant culture and its trajectory of being a best place to live and work. Alongside our deep wealth of experience in wider professional services, Deloitte is also ideally positioned to contribute to Bristol's continued growth through implementing technology, innovation, and AI solutions for clients.
“My priority in this role is to create an environment where our talented team can thrive, develop their skills, and reach their full potential - and I'm committed to sharing that with the businesses we work with.”
As practice senior partner for the region, Dave Tansley added: “Sam has the ideal combination of extensive industry experience, strong client relationships, a clear desire to see our people develop, and a demonstrable passion for Bristol. As such, I have no doubt that she will ensure that Deloitte Bristol continues to be a rewarding place to work, while serving clients from across the region and beyond.”
Sam is keenly involved in the firm’s social impact strategy and has separately spearheaded volunteering and fundraising efforts for the Bristol and Weston Hospitals Charity.
