Thorsten has qualifications and experience in medicine and technology, which lets him appreciate healthcare from delivery through to management, board rooms and ministers. His career has taken him across New Zealand, Australia, the US, Europe, Switzerland, and the UK, working with a variety of clients. In the US, he helped set up Integrated Delivery Systems for 'cradle to grave' healthcare, before moving into physician profiling, data warehousing and population analytics. In Europe and Switzerland, he worked with large Life Science companies and developed an appreciation of how innovations can improve health and wellbeing. Across New Zealand, Australia and the US, his work has included health payers and providers, as well as national and regional strategy. He is passionate about moving from analogue medicine to digital health and wellbeing: Over recent years his work has focused on the digital transformation of national screening and vaccination programmes, with attention to equity and participation.
