Paul has over 20 years of sports business experience from a wide range of projects working with governing bodies, leagues, clubs, investors and other organisations in the world of sport.
Paul’s experience in respect of cost control regulations is unrivalled. He leads Deloitte’s work to assist sports governing bodies to successfully develop and implement financial regulations, including for European football and Formula 1. He has also worked with sports governing bodies and their legal advisers to support the validity of regulations against challenge on competition law grounds.
Paul has played a key role in over 30 transactions projects in respect of various sports assets, in particular football clubs, advising potential investors and financiers from around the world.
Paul’s other sports business projects have included advising organisations about strategic development, governance and organisational design, business planning, risk management, and investigatory and legal dispute services.
