Oluwatobi is a Manager in Deloitte’s Global Trade Compliance team in London, in the Extended Enterprise practice. Tobi has been involved in numerous regulatory compliance projects across multiple clients from the aerospace & defence, diversified industrials, technology, media and telecommunications and public sector industries. 

Oluwatobi is a Manager in Deloitte’s Global Trade Compliance team in London, in the Extended Enterprise practice. Tobi has been involved in numerous regulatory compliance projects across multiple clients from the aerospace & defence, diversified industrials, technology, media and telecommunications and public sector industries. Tobi is a qualified barrister and solicitor in Nigeria, and holds a Bachelors’ Degrees (with Honours) in Law from Queen Mary University, and Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick. Prior to joining Deloitte in 2018, she completed placements in law firms and an alternative asset management firm. Oluwatobi has supported in the implementation of large-scale export compliance programmes and provided clients with advisory services on how they can meet export control regulatory obligations.

Oluwatobi’s experience in identifying areas of risk and opportunity in relation to export controls and sanctions includes the following:

  • Identifying and remediating trade compliance gaps, specifically focusing on the ITAR regulation.
  • Conducting export control internal audits, assurance activities and risk reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Implementing classification strategies and processes across several jurisdictions and business divisions.
  • Developing classification training and multi-jurisdictional export control training material.
  • Reviewing export licence and shipment documentation to ensure compliance with trade regulation.
  • Supporting business stakeholders in the development and implementation of technological solutions to support the export control functions within the business.
  • Developing processes and policies for global trade operations and document policies that detail global regulatory requirements across several jurisdictions.
